Lollapalooza kicked off in 1991, thanks to Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell deciding his band’s farewell tour needed to be extraordinary. Layne Staley from Alice in Chains famously rocked this very design, proving that grunge fashion and boundary-pushing tunes are a match made in alt-rock heaven. Now spanning four epic days each August in Chicago’s Grant Park, Lollapalooza continues to pack in hip-hop, techno, and alternative rock acts.
